Matan's 10th Annual Breast Cancer Cupcake Sale Raises Over $6,000

During the month of October Matan volunteers stood in the lobbies of their various commercial real estate properties throughout Montgomery and Frederick counties selling cupcakes and other “pink” items to their tenants, in an effort to raise awareness and money to support the fight against breast cancer.

With over $6,000 raised through sales and online donations, Matan’s 10th Annual “Cupcakes for a Cure” event was their most successful to date.

“I’m very grateful to our tenants for their support and participation again this year,” said Priscilla Ford, Portfolio Manager for the Matan Companies. “Every single dollar raised from every cupcake, pen, bracelet, bag, scarf and other “pink” item that was sold was sent to The American Cancer Society and will go towards funding vital research and care that will save lives".

In total, over the past 10 years, Matan has donated over $26,000 to The American Cancer Society.
